What are my areas of expertise?
I’m a therapist licensed in Illinois specializing in anxiety, depression, grief, and couples counseling. I work with individuals and couples to navigate life’s challenges, providing a safe space for healing and personal growth. Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming anxiety, working through depression, processing grief, or seeking to improve communication in your relationship, I’m here to support you. Using evidence-based therapies and a compassionate approach, I help my clients build resilience, find clarity, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
What is my professional background and training?
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master’s degree in Counseling. With several years of experience in the counseling profession, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and couples to address a variety of mental health concerns. My background has equipped me with the skills to provide effective therapy for issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges. I’m dedicated to using my expertise to create a supportive space where clients can explore their emotions, find clarity, and work toward healing.
How do I approach therapy and client care?
My therapeutic approach is rooted in client-centered care, where your needs and goals guide our work together. I use evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you manage stress, stay grounded, and increase self-awareness. I incorporate mindfulness techniques to empower you to build coping strategies, develop self-compassion, and make meaningful changes in your life. In our sessions, I provide a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of yourself and promoting long-lasting emotional well-being.
What do I enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing and spending time with friends—it's my way of relaxing and unwinding. A fun fact about me is that before becoming a therapist, I worked as an engineer! This unique background gives me a different perspective when approaching challenges and problem-solving, both personally and professionally.
